Vent Installation
 |
Our vents are designed for a flush mount application with no framing modifications necessary. For best results they
should be installed with the frame of the vent onto the sub-sheeting and the sub-sheeting should be cut away around
the louvered area, thus creating airflow. The siding will go up to the bottom of the vent, this works well with
all forms of siding, such as bevel, sidewall shingles, stucco, brick and other sidings.
Our standard framing is 2-1/2" wide and 1-1/2" deep. Custom framing widths are available.
Most people install our vents so that the vent frame touches the roofline, however they can be held down,
however this does create the need for siding to be on all three sides and above the vent instead of just going
to the bottom of the vent. You may find that you would like to paint the visible framing members exposed through
the vent making them less visible.
Please contact us if you have further questions about installation.
